Harmony Central turned into a nightmare a few years ago and I left. I had been lurking on there since 2000 and became a member in early 2001. I watched that place completely turn into a circus with posts like "who wants to screw my grandmother" and "I love grapes" and shit like that. I felt that every musician had vanished from that place.

When they "upgraded" the site, it was horrible so I took it as a sign to leave. I love Rig-Talk. There is no BS here really and the mods immediately take care of issues. There is also a policy of "if you don't like it here, leave", and I actually dig that.

I browsed TGP a couple times, but I just don't belong. I don't dump as much money into gear because I've got far different priorities in life (my choice, to each their own of course) therefore there's not much to contribute or take away from the conversations.

Here is a bit different. While a lot of you guys have amazing gear of course, you don't all come across quite as snobbish.

+1 .... I pretty much never liked any of the music talked about on this forum or any of the forums as far as that goes. I like "dated" sounds much better than the compressed saturated flavors many seem to love.
