Used Straub Cantus. 50 watts 68 plexi with a MV and built in switchable tube boost. You can usually find one on Tgp for around $1200 give or take a couple of hundred.
Really like mine. Has a nice hardwood head shell and rosewood knobs for extra cork sniffin' goodness!!!
Also Rienhardt, Germino, Metro, Top Hat Emplexador, all can be found for resonable $$$ over there. And of course the real deal marshalls show up also.

Give me $1000.

Take my JTM45.

Turn everything to 10 (except for Bass...keep that on 3).

Boost it with a DOD Green Screamer.

Have the best Marshall tone ever.

Nothing wrong with a good ol' DSL 100. It will get you there for everything you posted. Can be had for $600-$700. Bam, you're done.

Why buy a clone? They are a dime a dozen and every amp maker's starting point. Just jump on ebay and buy an old JMP 2203 for under a grand.

Steve

MEGA +1 :2thumbsup:

Exactly what I was thinking, they're plentiful out there on the used market... Nail the real deal down and don't even think about the others
