From what I hear, it's a custom one-off made by JS. He's always had great taste in gear, so I'm not surprised. Hopefully it'll make the new album...

In all its glory. Solo section starts around 3:20 for the lazy

Now I'm GASing for a Modern

Very cool. But let's face it... Ian Thornley could take a fence post and make it sound killer. :) I'm glad to see Ian starting to get some recognition in the industry though.

Yeah, it's long overdue to say the least.

Killer! He's the only guy beside Sykes who just kill as sings and guitar players!

Had a total blast jamming with Ian and my buds Jon and Blair at the Suhr NAMM party. More vids will be up next week.

Pete you lucky dog.
I've been digging Ian's playing, songwriting and singing since their debut. I remember first hearing the song 'Overemphasizing' ...couldn't believe what a great slide player Ian was.

I'd add Richie Kotzen and Michael Sweet to that list :D

There are plenty of others:

Gary Moore
David Gilmour
Rik Emmett
Dave Meniketti....

Man Suhr has some killer artists

You're not kidding- playing at that party, it's like, keep your head down and don't think about the fact that Scott Henderson, Ian, Andy Wood, etc etc are there, just play like it was any other gig, haha easier said than done.

Thornley is awesome. I've been a huge Big Wreck fan since 1997. He is such an underrated guitar player it's not even funny.

He just doesn't look "right" with it.

I was just about to say the same. I am so used to him with those big guitar (not sure what they were, kind of almost rickenbacker looking things). The Suhr looks like a baby guitar on him. Looks cool though. Sweet looking axe.

I don't think you have too much to worry about, Pete :)
