Is that true? She is a guitarist? And be fair, you have never listed to Page’s Outrider album

Standing on the shoulders of giants and passing the torch. Isn’t it alleged that Jimmy also made a deal with the devil?

Yes. It's a blues album. She's a vocalist. Is she a blues vocalist now? Releasing two or three blues albums during a career mainly consumed by pop or rock music isn't going to put you into the blues club or festival circuit. I can see how someone outside the scene would think a blues release is a qualifier but those inside the scene aren't going to agree.

Pat Travers just released a blues record that is seeing some rotation on XM bluesville. He's a classic rock artist, and there is no market for new classic rock so releasing a "blues" album is about the only way for him to stay in the public eye. Is it blues? Generically, yes. It sounds like a rock artist doing a blues track, which is what it is. But he's not a part of the actual blues scene i.e he's not a blues artist.

Well if she is a vocalist and has a blues album out then yes, I would consider her—at least in that point in time—to be a blues vocalist.

Not sure what this scene is you speak of but inclusion in it seems like an oddly subjective qualifier for such a humble title.

So is 50's pop star Pat Boone a metal singer, since he released a metal album? What metal fests can I go seem him perform at? Which blues clubs or festivals will Cyndi be appearing at? The answer is none. Does any metal band take Pat's metal album release seriously? Doubtful.

I have painted a few cars, built a few stick frame structures, and have built a few customized mc's but I am not an auto body tech or a carpenter or a bike builder. It would actually be an act of disrespect to the people who do that on a serious level for me to run around making that claim like I'm a part of it. There are specialty things that separate those trades from someone who knows a few basic concepts about them . I do not think either Cyndi, Jimmy Page, or Pat Boone would themselves make such a claim either.

Not sure what this scene is you speak of
My point exactly. You're not sure because it's not your bread and butter. Neither is it the aforementioned artists'.

Sure, at that time he was. Saying that someone is a blues guitarist or a metal vocalist is not the same as saying someone is a Dr. or a licensed electrician…if they can make music in that genre then they qualify.

This is like saying only widely known artists can be considered artists. And that is dumb

Universal healthcare is not the answer, getting rid of insurance companies is.
I'm asking seriously and sincerely now. Who pays the Drs then? Straight billing to the patient?

That's gonna get really expensive don't you think? I know that was the case 100 years ago but there's lots of expensive diagnostic equipment and exotic drugs now that weren't around then.

If the patient can't pay, what then?
