Hmmm, yeah I wonder about the routing of the magnetic pickups and piezo. I currently dont have a 9v battery in to power the piezo. What's the odds that having it in place would bridge a gap in the grounding? I realize this is pretty far fetched, but its one variable I havent considered lol.
Do you have another guitar to use as a test? That would easily rule out or focus the guitar as being the issue. One other though is are you using a high quality cable? If you guitar is putting out a lot of signal and your cable is questionable in any way it could create an issue. I'm real curious to see how a fresh battery works for you also. Good luck and I hope all these fine suggestions from the other posters get you a solution.

So fresh battery made no difference lol. And ya, cable is Canare with neutrik plugs. Also swapped out for a mogami cable with neutrik plugs no difference.
when I switch to a guitar with slightly less hot pickups (Ibanez with Steve's Special and Air Norton) its not nearly as prominent. Still a mild hum, but much less. Anyways guys, thanks for all your assistance. I think i have got it the best I can get and will settle on the fact that the pickups are not truly "humbucker" and go from there. Recordings still sound great going into a BAE 1073mp!
