Dave lives about an hour from me. Last time i was over his place it was a blast playing through his W/D/W setup.

The XTC is a killer amp! I loved the Cameron moded Red Channel that I had

I'm not sure how long my XTC is going to be around since Mike can add a clean channel to my Cali. The Cali sounds soo damm good.

I cant imagine even going back to a EL34 loaded XTC after using the KT88 one for awhile.

I don't know if i want to dump more money into an amp that already cost this much. I talked to Mike about it already, I'll probably get a clean channel put on my Cali mod instead. But there's a few other channel switchers i might want to try.

Plus I still get the flexibility of the XTC with Excursion, Pre EQ settings + plexi mode. Really interested to see how that plays out after Mike turns it into a fire breather!

That's the thing with the XTC, all those switches and I'm tinkering around with them still trying to get a particular sounds. But plug into the Fortin and Bamm, it's right there with no tweaking. If the XTC had the Cali mod sound for it's 3rd channel I'd be done. The XTC is still a great amp, it's just a particular flavor, as with any other amp i guess.
