Thought you Rig-Talkers that dig progressive heavy stuff might dig this, It's James Ivanyi at the Suhr NAMM party.. I mixed the audio for this, and it was a pleasure, as James and band really killed it and his music is really cool- cinematic is the word that comes to mind!

Killer. Great sounding mix too. Wheres the dalay coming from, his pedalboard?

Wow..great player, great tone..and a great mix! Sounded killer..have to download some of his material!

I really dig the suhr modern satin unleashed vid he did for suhr. some cool riffs and leads. great player, creative and unique!!

He seems really cool. He posted here several times. Great player.

I'm actually not sure what he was using rig-wise, no idea! yes the long delay was coming from him. He was using 2 mic'd cabs, so i panned em out a bit and delayed one side like 10ms or so to give some width. I think it ended up sounding great!

Hello guys.

Firstly, thank you for all your kindness and nice words. I really appreciate it! Especially thanks to my buddy Pete for sharing this and his awesome production work on the videos. I agree they all sound awesome, and Pete did an amazing job of translating the performances.

To answer some of those questions:

I was using an SE-100+ for the whole event, with a KOKO boost in the front, just to tip it over into spongy saturation point for the heavier stuff. I really fell in love with that amp. I also used the CAA quad boxes.

The delay was a TC Flashback into the loop of the SE-100+. I'd never used one before that night, but seeing as I use a G-System in my rig I felt quite at home with it.

Hope that helps. :)

That was excellent! Nice tune, tight band, great mix and the video itself was excellent. I watched on a 27" monitor in full screen mode and it looked fantastic.

Hey James,

That was killer and anything Pete touches sounds great thats a given. Glad your posting here with us!

These vids always remind me of how bad I suck. I can't seem to keep that relaxed and smooth left hand look when I play so any fast runs sound forced and choppy.

Now that we have come to the conclusion that I am not even worthy of turning your amps off of standby, where you boosting with mid or other side of the Koko? I usually use the mid side to add a bit of sag or squish.
