Jared James Nichols switched to Marshall

That whole video is full of classic battered Marshall player stuff though:

- See it's so nice, they have a master volume! (what is this, 1976?)
- It sounded woofy, so I had to add another amp.
- I'm going to roll my guitar volume back 20dB just to try to find a clean tone. Never mid the huge stage volume drop
- Here, let me step on this box...
There's only one way to rock, said a wise man, and it's Marshall.

Yes, and the JVM410 which I think is one of their better efforts but I worry about reliability.
The Vintage modern's low dynamic range mode, is the best clean amp that I have ever heard. Better than a vintage twin reverb imho.

I don't hate Marshall by any means. Certain non-diode Jose mods and some of the SIR mods are favorite tones of mine. But there's no question that when players try to use them live there's trouble unless it's all high gain all the time.

Jared sounded great on this vid. I just love the vintage style Marshall sound by itself or boosted. Lots of tones available with the help of guitar’s volume pot and a boost. 😎

I thought he sounded pretty good on the Laney's already. Has good chops and even better feel. But going Marshall IS the way let's be honest. Tried tested and true. Plexi/800 is the best for THAT thing.

100%. “If you want a Marshall, get a Marshall…”
Except for the fact that then what people do is either mod them or run a solid state gain box through them. And then add another amp or three to make up for their deficiencies.

How about this: if what you want to hear is tube screamer (or Klon or whatever), just run your tube screamer into the board.

Battered Marshall Player syndrome really is a sight to behold :D

Great player. Never heard him sound better. Looks like he’s favoring HB’s over P-90’s right now too.

I have two 410H's, my first and main one is from the original release run where the pots were mounted to the PCB which is not really preferred but zero problems out of that amp. Over 300 live gigs, hours of rehearsals and recordings, again zero problems. My second has the pots mounted to the chassis, no problems with that amp either. Can't speak for other's but they've been reliable for me. I've done nothing to either except a PW tube change. My old one still has the original 12AX7's in it. Only thing I did to the second one was pull the JJ's out of it and retube.
