Damn that sounds great! I agree with Steve that he has the verb down pretty much which is one huge aspect to the tone imo.

This is a great representation of the Mod 5. This sounds great

Here is a picture of a 100w Mod5.

I know this is probably sacrilegious, but it'd be cool to hear that amp through some V30's.

is this what the complete build looks like from u?? no logo yet? what brand trannies do u use in your complete builds? your stuff always sounds killer!

That's what it looks like. Working on a logo. I use both Heyboer and Mercury transformers. Thanks!

Marked for later. Don't want to wake up the lady friend.
Could you fill us in on the changes/features? Without giving away your secrets, of course.

I bet this info is in this thread somewhere and I just missed it. Oh well, heh.

Went through the amp completely. Along with revoicing the amp there are modifications to the power supply that make it like the earlier Jcm 800's. Proper voltages throughout the amp are achieved for better tone.

once again
your amp mod awakens my fascination with that tone!

my peacemaker low sensitivity sound for a clean to low gain with pedals channel, your mod for a second channel, and cameron high gain for a second "mode" to the lead channel, kinda like the PT 100 layout,

would be my ultimate marshall (at least today it would be!)

do you know if it is possible to separate the peacemaker's two inputs so that low sensitivity could be unaffected by a mod to high sensitivity input, and just A/B switch between the two inputs?

The peacemaker has the inputs jumped internally.
Could make that amp have the high input of stock Plexi and have mod5 on the other input BUT that may require drilling a hole for the addition volume control.
As well it wouldn't be switchable with an ab box if that's what you had in mind.

Sounds pretty much like my amp, only I don't use either of the Mark's circuits to achieve those sounds... Truth is when you start put all this in one amp there are compromises made...

cool

what about "donating" the power dampening circuit/knob to repurpose as the additional volume?

i meant A/B as in a box like the tonebone switchbone which has two outputs, to switch between physical inputs on the amp.
