I've been checking out Farmikos today, and this one next. Great doomy vibes. Hearing some Trouble and Alice, but with more guitar heroics, I like it! 💀

One of my favorite parts is how the drums seem to be in the room with you, very raw.

Excellent. Somebody loves AIC as much as me haha. Influence present, but still original.

I’m not a great singer, but I can’t avoid trying to invoke Layne a lot of the time. My range, unfortunately, can’t do Layne’s range. As I’ve gotten older the higher stuff is increasingly limited (voice a touch deeper with age?).

Anyway, really enjoyed that all the way around.

Bought the cd hr ago. Looking forward to it! This sounds good.

Dude has been using the same Jose amps since the beginning. His tone has to be one of the best hard rock tones ever.

His playing is fantastic. Lil Zakk, lil Randy, whole lotta Joe. Love it.

As of this morning, after so many years I still didn't even really know what Joe's FACE looks like or his voice sounds like!

Found an excellent interview with Eddie Trunk, although even that only had a still photo of him. I've always known he is a tall, lanky guy and his hair always covers his face. Almost a ghostly presence, the opposite of the ever present (and promotional) Zakk lol!

Looking forward to getting his albums.

just listened to the whole album ... great musically but for me the singer BLOWS .. sounds a bit like Kenny Hickey from type o negative. That type of vocal works as a back up to the main vocal in typo but just does not hold up as the lead vocal .. this feels the same

Pretty good. To nitpick I enjoyed the melodic chorus a lot more than the William D’uval era Alice In Chains verses.

Dude is an amazing player.......I loved the first album, I love the new one! Great work in an age of crap!

Joe was with Ozzy the first time I saw him live. Awesome concert and great memories.
+1
And I had no clue back then.
Retirement Sucks tour, Lubbock TX. Sepultura and Type O Negative opened. My gf brought binoculars to look at Peter Steele, after seeing him in Playgirl. :sneaky:
Great concert.

I love the singer, sounded great on the previous Farmikos album and sounds great here too to me.
I get both points on Robbie Locke. I think he's a great singer, but the music could go over the top with someone having a bit more...creativeness and originality?
The hooks were there on Farmikos, but they weren't strong enough to keep someone other than a dedicated guitar fan coming back for a 2nd listen.

Duvall era AIC sounds like Cantrell solo albums to me. They lack the humor, depth, complexity, attitude that Layne brought.
Great music, but kinda like what I said about Locke up there, don't grab you like Staley's albums. Honestly, I'd rather listen to Mad Season than any post Layne AIC.

Great guitar player with great tone but man.. guy needs a make over. Looks like a total bum. What is he, 60 now? I have the feeling that his place would look like an episode of Hoarders.
