Joe Holmes - WILL IT CHUGG? New album streaming..

I got the CD in of Friday. Great album. I actually like the singer. It definitely has some AIC vibe to it, but I'm cool with that. IMHO, Joe has a very unique voice when soloing. As stated earlier, it is a breath of fresh air is the current sea of suck in music.

Saw him back in the early 2000's with Ozzy and he looked like a skinny rat with no shirt on and shorts hanging so low. Some looks just don't advantage men at this age.

Really digging the album, Joe has a great guitar sound on it and the production isn't over-plug in'd and blown out like a lot of modern rock albums seem to be now.

Sounds very Sabbath-y to me, but overall it's awesome!

Dude has been using the same Jose amps since the beginning. His tone has to be one of the best hard rock tones ever.

His playing is fantastic. Lil Zakk, lil Randy, whole lotta Joe. Love it.

Joe had the second best live tone I've ever heard back when I saw him with Ozzy. Relatively simple live setup as well. Only better live tone I've heard was Ed on the VHIII tour.

I’d imagine if Sharon can force Zakk to shave his beard when he re-joined Ozzy, she likely had no problem telling Bordin and Trujillo what to do.

I also don’t know what I’d do in that particular situation if I were asked to re-record those parts; regardless if the request came from Sharon or Ozzy, I’d have to think as much of you might like Blizzard, there’s an aspect of saying “No, Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, I won’t do what you’re asking me even though the original album never would have happened without either of you and none of us would be here” that would play a role in that decision.

And at the very least, “Shit, either I can record these songs and have my name on one of the best albums of all time, even if I’m not stoked with what it actually is, or some other dude will get the job and I get nothing, while potentially losing the next couple years worth of work”, I’d likely take the option as well.

Dismissing it as “business” does not excuse nor justify these despicable actions.

And you’re correct, if they didn’t take the work, some other scabs would have.
There is no other way to describe hired guns who would participate in the re-recording of Daisley’s and Kerslake’s tracks with the sole purpose of fucking them out of their due royalties.
Especially when concerning those two masterpieces and the sole albums that Rhoads played on.
