In 1986, Daisley and Kerslake sued Osbourne for unpaid royalties, eventually winning songwriting credits on Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a Madman. Subsequently, a 2002 reissue was made of these albums which replaced Daisley and Kerslake's original bass and drum parts with new parts recorded by Osbourne's then-current drummer Mike Bordin and bassist Robert Trujillo. The 2002 reissue also included new backing vocals from singers Mark Lennon and John Shanks.

Osbourne's wife and manager, Sharon, claimed at the time that it was Ozzy, not she, who was responsible for the decision to re-record the parts, stating "because of Daisley and Kerslake's abusive and unjust behaviour, Ozzy wanted to remove them from these recordings. We turned a negative into a positive by adding a fresh sound to the original albums."<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blizzard_of_Ozz#cite_note-38"><span>[</span>38<span>]</span></a> However, Osbourne contradicted this claim in his 2009 autobiography I Am Ozzy, stating that the decision to re-record the original bass and drum parts was Sharon's decision, and that he "didn't have anything to do with" it.<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blizzard_of_Ozz#cite_note-osbourneautobiography-39"><span>[</span>39<span>]</span></a> He said his wife "just snapped" and had it done without his knowledge.<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blizzard_of_Ozz#cite_note-osbourneautobiography-39"><span>[</span>39<span>]</span></a> He also stated that "a sticker was put on the covers telling everyone about it",<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blizzard_of_Ozz#cite_note-osbourneautobiography-39"><span>[</span>39<span>]</span></a> although the sticker was not initially placed on the re-issue and was only placed on the covers at a later date due to fan outcry over the altered recordings.

In 2003, Daisley and Kerslake's lawsuit was dismissed by the United States District Court in Los Angeles. This incident along with ripping Jake off was the final straw with Ozzy and me. I could give two shits about him or Sharon. The albums, at least Blizz, Diary, Bark, No Rest and Tears I love, especially the first two. However there was literally no need not pay all the people who propped Ozzy up proper compensation for their work.

It's one thing to agree to a salary, lord knows Jake, Viv etc... were all underpaid but to outright rip them off, screw them. Days after Randy died they re-wrote his contract. Randy's family never got paid his royalties after he passed. Delores took them to court but later dropped the suit. They straight up punked Jake, he recorded and wrote Bark then they said sign over all your rights or we'll replace you and your guitar parts. And of course neither Bob or Lee were ever given proper compensation.

Then the re-release of the original albums with the parts replaced? That was horseshit, love how he said we placed a sticker on them, no you didn't, not until everyone figured out what the hell you did.

Zero use for Ozzy or Sharon. Sorry he passed but the myth of him being this oblivious being was a myth they created.

I've given it a couple of listens and obviously Joe nails it but agree, I think I like the Farmiko's stuff better. Next release Joe needs some more up tempo stuff, there's some straight up sludge on here in terms of tempo.

I've been checking out Farmikos today, and this one next. Great doomy vibes. Hearing some Trouble and Alice, but with more guitar heroics, I like it!

One of my favorite parts is how the drums seem to be in the room with you, very raw.

Drums have a very London Bridge Studios, early 90”s sound to them. Which was very nice roomy but real drum sound. Think Temple of the Dog, stuff like that.
