I'll say this...I worked for a promoter for almost 10 years...during that time I've seen/saw just about everybody come down the pike and guitar tone wise...the 2 best live tones I ever heard were Joe Holmes and EVH on the VHIII tour. Coming in 3rd were the Scorpions...like 'em or not they sound great. Granted that's just my tonal opinion.

Actually, I said the PCM-41 was being used for a bit of delay (not chorus) to smooth out the mostly dry signal to the center cab... but otherwise, we agree!

Yup we agree!
The only reason why i guessed Chorus in the center cab is because usually if you use delay in the center cab aswell as the two outer cabs, it loses a little bit of the clarity and punch (which is the sole purpose of the dry cab in a W/D/W rig).
Chorus would just smooth it out everso slightly, but still keep the clarity and really let it cut thru in the mix, whilst letting the outer cabs do all the delays
Sure, but if you are stereo micropitchshifting and delaying differently left and right, you have a chorusy effect already, which is why I still believe the center is just a touch of delay...
We could go back and forth on this all day...

It could be either anyway!What i really would love to know for certain, is if hes really using the SE-70 for only micropitch or if hes using it for anything else too!
