Hell yeah!

I am in a JP tribute band that only does stuff from DotF and back. Jason McMaster (Dangerous Toys, ex-Watchtower) is my singer and he gets all into the Halford thing. We don't play a ton of shows because we all have crazy schedules, but we have one this Friday and I am psyched. We have a ton of fun doing it.

Our set list:
Exciter
Running Wild
Sinner
The Ripper
The Green Manalishi
Diamonds and Rust
Victim of Changes
Genocide
Tyrant
Delivering the Goods
Hell Bent for Leather
Rapid Fire
Freewheel Burning
Hellion
Electric Eye
Breaking the Law
Heading out to the Highway

Carry the flag brotha!
Thats a killer set list. We did a bunch of Priest songs. All older stuff, Green Manalishi, Delivering the Goods, Metal Gods, Victim of Changes and others. Lots of fun to do live.
I've seen them on 6 different tours, they are killer everytime

Very much like the priest ....

I understand Rob is very aggressive .... I have heard several story's "you will do this if you are really metal" ..... about as creepy as the story's about Chuck Connors ?

Lets hear the stories about Chuck Conners.
My girlfriends son reads this forum .... You are on the web/ I am sure you can find all kinds of story's about celebrity's if your interested in that stuff ....

Smart move Stephen, highly volatile classified information is meant to remain just that..
:D

Love old Priest. I had that old Cherry Lane JP songbook from the 80's and learned em all plus a bunch of other ones. Funny when I was in cover bands I only remember playing Hell Bent for Leather and Grinder

Awesome... my first band was called Hell Bent For Leather... we played one show in HS...tore stuff up..mosh pit in the auditorium then we were no longer... true Rock n ROll right there

I took a bit of time on my day off yesterday to watch a DVD retrospective on the making of British Steel. Definitely a classic album and one of, if not THE archetypal example of the heavy metal albums made. Judas Priest were always just that much cooler than someone like Iron Maiden to me because they were more "real." Their songs were more rock than epics, and Halford always felt more like a gritty rock frontman, where as someone like Bruce Dickinson is almost more of a theatrical type.

One of my all time favorite bands!!!

Love the fact that Simon Phillips played drums on the Sin After Sin Album.

My favorite album is Unleashed in the East. I also prefer their older stuff.

Shameless band plug, Judas Priest Tribute we stick to mostly early Priest.

You guys did great on that. That has got to be a tough song to sing. Your singer doesn't have that nice, rougher low range, like Halford but he did really well. What amps or setups are you guys using? The tones were pretty true to the song.
