I'd wager that doing some re-arranging to get your monitors centered on one wall, and up higher so they're at ear level when you sit down @ the mixer would yield favorable results.

I did have it that way at first. It took up too much space. The one this thats hard to see is the ceiling slopes down on both sides (upstairs) which also limits my options somewhat. We jam in there too and there just wasnt the room for everything. One of these days I want to get an Argosy desk which will let me do more with that corner. I want to get another vid monitor and the desk will allow me to do that. More $$$!!

Thanks Greg The two plexis just kill. Added a 74 Hiwatt Custom Lead 100 to the leaning tower. Awesome for the shimmering clean/ crunch tone.

Very cool George! That's the type of stuff I want to see. Wow, even a mini split system for a/c. I've installed quite a few of those and they work great. I'm going to PM you with a question.

Yeah the mini split is awesome. There were no vents to this room and the elec was jumped from another room. The mini split was the easiest way to go. Man that thing is dead silent and we just ran new electric, breaker box etc...probably overkill but now there are outlets everywhere.

IMO it would be better to go "all out" on the big room and make a really nice control room and still have room in the control room for recording than it would be to compromise on construction and stuff to try and get all the rooms workable. I turned the dining room of our house into my mixing suite, and just find places in the house to set up gobos and whatnot to track.
