I wasn't taking a pot shot. I've only mentioned something one other time. I haven't been around this board very long, but I was at HC for years, so I get the whole Carl thing. I just didn't understand the Odin thing. If you think you have a reason to say to him what you do then I'll just accept it. I just hadn't seen anything personally and was being more inquisitive than anything. I'm not an idiot. I do "get" things. I just was trying to "get" this particular one is all. I really wasn't trying to start a beef with you man. As far as the NYPD thing goes. I think you can be a corrupt cop and still be cool. I don't have any numbers I can throw at you though. I've met a few and I've read some stuff is all. It's been years ago however. Normally the larger the police force, the more corruption you have. It's just the way things are.

Its all good and I apologize if I came off harsh, I tend to be as blunt as a bowling ball and am not a big fan of dancing around issues for whatever sake. Theres more to the Carl saga than youve seen just as there is with the Odin Issue. Those who have been around and have seen it first hand understand and this was more for them.

Carl's playing has always been good. He's not as good as he says he is, but he's a good player. I have always criticized his timing, but I suspect that comes from not playing with a live band. And his playing is all pretty much similar, in the style of his heroes, not that there's anything wrong with that.

My main criticism would be that in my opinion he uses too many effects, but that's because I prefer no effects at all, just guitar and amp.

I think it's about 30 minutes to an hour...if I recall he was demo'ing a Guytron amp and some pedals.

I got it about 10 years ago when I was in a war with Carl and we were making fun of each other, I wanted to see his "famous" gear demo tape and someone mailed it to me. This was before Carl had recording equipment and clips online.

I may have passed it one to someone, I'll see if I can find it. It's a copy of a copy deal on VHS with crappy quality compared to modern video.

On that we can agree, Good player ? yes, as good as he thinks he is? not even close.....

Funny that you mention the FX , he constantly accuses Ralphie and I about too much gin, reverb , delay etc but his stuff is every bit if not more saturated with fuzz delay etc...

If you want a laugh, ask him to alternate pick something and see what happens
