Good lord. I decided to check in and post my thoughts on the Waza and had to see that /\/\

Regarding the Waza, the way I am using it…EQ’s at noon, zero gain and level about 1-2 o’clock, I don’t notice any difference between it and my old one. Tried custom and regular and it sounded the same in this usage.

I’m guessing that it may be different if you use it differently, but it works great for what I am doing.

Still digging it as a boost. In fact it’s pretty much all I’m using right now. I’m sure I’ll end up back with my go to’s at some point, but I’m having a blast right now. In fact I’m more inspired to play than I have been in quite a while, so I’m riding this train!

The MT-2 is a great boost with many amps, but especially those old Randall RG's. Takes them into brutal territory.

The JHS Pack Rat's MT-2 mode is what finally sold me on the circuit. Same idea as the diode/transistor mods mnemonic and Shask did — flattens out that mid honk and pulls back the squashy compression — except you don't have to crack one open. Side by side with a stock MT-2, you hear the same fundamental voice underneath, just less of the stuff people complain about. Makes a great boost too.

i use my metal zone waza as the distortion in my setup.. im going through my old boss gt6, but disabled the onboard distortion and use the waza mt2... only thing i use on gt6 is the clean fender twin preamp,and gt6 eq..into return of oth heads.. i also use rack bbe362 for the jcm 900(dsl doesnt need it)... each head with metazone gives juicy thick tones that compliment each other without phase issues

going into return of 2 marshall tube heads, cabs give me that Takasaki Thunder in the East tone heavily..
