i very much prefer his real tube amp tones v his digital rig tones
I agree...It's interesting; The JVM seems to be making a bit of a "comeback" and it should, it's an extraordinary amp in my option. I try a lot of amps and few hold my attention very long...But I still play my JVM410H daily and have actually grown to like the amp more as I became more familiar with it. One thing that I really like is that the JVM responds equally well to both active active and passive pickups, while many high gain amps seem to prefer one or the other. I don't see myself selling mine any time soon.OD1 Orange man, brings a smile every time. Leon did the amp justice, this along with Rabea's video are the best I've seen at really showing how the amps sounds in a video.
I always wonder about the DSL vs JVM. I have considered picking one of them up.
I've owned both...depends on what your looking for.I always wonder about the DSL vs JVM. I have considered picking one of them up.

The DSL is great for some more "traditional" Marshallesque tones and can do heavy well with a boost...But if you lean metal, definitely go with the JVM410H. Just my thoughts.Metal. Chunk and crunch.![]()
I prefer the JVM205H, but a DSL50 gets it done just as well.I always wonder about the DSL vs JVM. I have considered picking one of them up.

Same. The ones I do watch are making videos about playing, not about gear.not many influencers keep my attention nowadays.
It is the ultimate Marshall...Unless your seeking a vintage vibe or 100% full authentic on Plexi or JCM800. That said, the JVM will get you 80% there for those tones as well. there isn't another stock Marshal that even comes close to the JVM's aggression or versatility. On one had, I dont need all the options, but on the other hand, it seems to be the ultimate Marshall.
That's the thing, yes it has options but I literally use only two, OD1 Orange and Clean. I don't use the Crunch channel, I don't use OD2.On one had, I dont need all the options, but on the other hand, it seems to be the ultimate Marshall.
I think some people see all the knobs and go into overload, I've done the same thing with amps that I've owned like the Sig X or some of the Boogies but in reality the JVM is really a simple amp with alot of options. As I always say, it's not everyone, no amp is.
