I LOVE that Maragold album; practically every song on it is a banger. Very sad they never did anything else

I saw Maragold several times. They were fantastic, but just didn't get the marketing or exposure needed to get big. For their show in Scottsdale, it felt like everyone there was one of Greg's former students from back east. They had a huge crowd for a show at NAMM, but that just didn't translate into anything else.

I was at the namm show, so good. Two of the singers sisters were there right next to us and a drunk Billy Sheehan ran into me a couple times during the show.
That albums is incredible.
It’s worth listening to just to listen to the bass player for a full pass, then go back and listen to just the Drummer for a full pass, etc. everybody’s awesome

Definitely a cool project, shame they never did a second album but I re visit it all the time. I played in a band here in Delaware with Meghan for a while, she's a cool chick so it was exciting seeing her work with Greg as I was always a fan of his. She invited me down to one of the spots where they shot the first video, cool hang with them all.

They later got a new drummer and he was just beyond. I saw Scott Henderson with Jeff Berlin and Dennis Chambers at Ramona Main Stage. Maragold was the next night. Drummer was so awesome. No idea what became of him. I later saw Greg with Stu Hamm and Gianluca at a club in Tempe. Also amazing.

But the best NAMM show I ever saw was when Greg played with Dennis Chambers and Victor Wooten. That place was so jam packed, the fire marshal was only letting one person in when one went out. I was right against the stage. I was just amazing.
