Mark Cameron is putting out some feelers boys!

As someone who has been on this forum since week one and talked over the phone with a Mark about sending an amp for modding.... it is a damn shame that he can't get his act together. He has a good ear, and I like the way his amps sound. But I would NEVER send him a dime. Every time I think we have collectively moved on from the Cameron saga, somebody decides to make a post.
I spoke to him once.. when the amp I bought was sent by the seller to him to get "looked over".... it took some leaning to make sure I got that amp. Like threatening a reversal of charges on my cc.. the seller definitely stayed on Mark after that.
And that was before all the s&&t went down.
I ended up selling it a few years later.. should have kept that, the Suhr mod, and the Langner preamp I had at the the time. I also almost bought a cab and 2 cube 1x12's from Brad at one point.
But with all the BS - I'm glad to not be associated with any of his products

ahhhh found the ad ...... like 10 minutes from me ..... but then again ... everything in Rhode Island is ...

12500 ........... lmfao ... I don't care if the amp could blow me and make me dinner after ... fucking never

A few thoughts on this. As much as Mark is a talented modder/designer, his fatal flaw is that he's not a businessman and has showed a bad track record of managing projects and business-related activities. This is not a dig on him. This is very common in the industry, and you have pedal makers, amp builders etc.. springing up all of the time and dont stay in business because they don't have business skill. Look and Dave Friedmand and Bogner. They have people that manage the business side for them, and they enjoy the longevity in an otherwise competitive market. I think there is a possibility Mark never returning peoples amps perhaps had more to do with him not having his shit together than starting with the intention of ripping people off. That's where the line gets muddy between civil and criminal.

Based on my observations, he has not yet demonstrated any level of trust to operate either alone or the with the people he surrounds himself with. While they may be well intentioned, they don't have the business or financial backing for any level of success. Furthermore, we've seen when partnered with business savvy individuals with financial backing ala Brad King/Friedman collaboration, not only did he hold back on using his actual designs, he didn't follow through on the second product, Old Bitch, and there was a level of generic fill in the blanks with the circuit design.

I am afraid unfortunately that he's burnt too many bridges. Anyone that sends him a deposit while he's working on his own or with his handlers, it a gamble and I think one should be prepared to lose money. I don't know who's going to back him to build complete amps and sell them upon completion, but I just don't see sane people sending deposits as long as it's just him and his inner circle. The only chance I could see of success would be to do something with BAD where he's taken completely out of the business and operational channels and simply gets a cut, but I don't see that as viable option based on the history of associated drama.

That said, I would love to see him put out a product that the masses could enjoy and he enjoy some level of success in the process.
Big difference between not being business minded and being an honorable human being who at least knows the basic tenants of doing right on basic responsibility. He’s made no effort to make people whole for many years. That makes him a cunt to me and he actually sounds exactly like an affable junkie, who is talented but a junkie all the same. Not saying he’s an actual junkie just the behavior lines up.
They’ll be real nice then break in and steal your shit, console you about it later with a sympathetic face, then when caught out, break down and beg forgiveness, you forgive them and then it happens again next month.

Jason isn’t fucking with that dude. That’s probably an old video when he was trying to get something started. And it probably went the way of every other scameron venture….

The video upload date is "1 day ago" as of this post. And the video description says, "These are older videos we made into shorts but feel free to comment and like if you want to see more. Currently there are no plans to make these amps but if the demand is there just let us know."

I'm a troll G but not that big of a troll to start shit on something old like that. It was a newly posted video, albeit the content was old as he stated.

The Cameron amps which Brad arranged into production years ago sounded great. Mark seems to be a talented guy but such a shame for his reputation and criminal actions.

I spoke with Brad King at some length at one of the annual Amp Shows at the hotel in the Valley when the Cameron platform was being rolled out, and I can say this with a degree of confidence: Brad did not present as a well capitalized, business savvy individual. I am in the business of advising and occasionally acting as placement agent for finance and equity transactions that fund ventures and projects. I negotiate and strategize with businessmen for a living. Brad struck me as clearly lacking the access to liquidity to carry a venture of this nature long term, as well an overly-optimistic hobbyist that was propelled more by ego than intellect or acumen. Even without Mark's penchant for financial fraud and illicit drugs, I suspect that the Cameron Amplifier venture would have ultimately failed unless acquired fairly quickly by a larger manufacturer with brand recognition in the market, and the required infrastructure. Just my opinion. All of that said, the amps themselves sounded very good.

Rhode Island...maybe it's Brad selling his own personal amp? Whatever happened to him anyway?
That was some dramatic soap opera shit back in the day.

Plus there are better amps and builders in 2026

That’s what this forum needs - a “Where is Brad, how many charges have been lobbied in the years since, and why” thread 😉
