You heard it here first folks.

SD-1 into Triple Recto = sounds exactly like an SD-1, literally nothing else, 100% of the time.

SD-1 into Plexi = literally identical to plugging into the SD-1 into the Triple Recto rig. Zero difference. Just diodes.

Apparently I need to check my bookmarks, I didn't mean to click on TGP.
I found a preset on my Fractal of a Dual Recto and thought it made the most perfect 80s modded Marshall metal tone. It was like the perfect Marshall which surprised me. I have yet to get a real one though.. I thought, if this sounds so good, why change anything.. but someday I do want to try one.

I do have the Synergy DRECT module but I have yet to dial it in correctly. It is surprisingly very Marshall-like the way I dial it in.

One thing I've learned after chasing amp tone for a few years and finding some great tones... FX ARE THE GREAT TONE EQUALIZER... meaning after I found the perfect amp tone and then added FX, I discovered that FX totally change that tone. But IMO, it is the FX that gives the perfect tone Mojo so the amp doesn't really matter.. with FX I can make nearly any amp sound the same. But I do love the girth that sits behind my tone with the Rectos.
