I don't understand this. Your CC is protected against fraud, but MO's are not. When that whole 357 choppers thing started a lot of people decided they were going to send checks and/or money orders because the CC routine wasn't secure. Even then I was more willing to use a CC over other payment methods, and as it turned out, I made the right decision because I didn't lose a dime on that deal. Those who sent checks and MO's did.

Good point but I dont have a CC I only have a debit card wich can be run as credit.

Didnt spend too much time here But It can do all the crunch rythym jcm800 sounds you need. And plexi on steroids..


Channel 3 is a burner, no Plexi sounds like three. Ch 2 nails the 800 range imo and is the solid crunch channel.

Howdy Gents!! I have been reading this thread and I just wanted to tell you guys that Steve is not about to rip off your credit card numbers lol!! Trust me, I know the guy and consider him a brother and this deal is strictly for gear whoring and not scamming!!

I also have to laugh at some of the prices that are being thrown around here!! If you can get a new JVM from a dealer for cheaper then what Steve is getting them for, you must know someone or you are realted to Jim Marshall!!

Here's the deal....

Everyone who is on the list must email me all your information. I will be drawing up a standard email to every person involved.
I am going to meet with the guy now to set everything worked out.
Anyone not in NY does not have to pay sales tax, but will have to pay for shipping(approx $50).
I have to go over all the details with my supplier in order to place the order properly and keep everyone safe in this deal.
I was told that if you are using a CC, I will need your full name and billing address, CC#, expiration date and the 3 digit security code on the back of the card. This is required by the CC charge company, not me.
You can give me that info via email or over the phone, just like you would if you called any store to buy something.
I want everyone to feel safe about this and I do not want anyone upset.
All I want everyone to know is that they will be getting a great deal on a great amp that isn't even going to be in most US stores for about 2 months.
We have a Mid February delivery date according to Marshall, so it should kick all kinds of ass....

Waiting for a guy to email me back about the Sabre....this hurts some but the JVM fills way more tone ranges.

The VM sounds like a Marshall but only a lot mellower on the top end due to the kt-66 tube. It is very round and warm sounding. The use of the modern name could be misleading. The modern name is used more for some of the modern features used in the amp and should not be confused with modern GAIN. This is not a high gain amp IMHO and it would need a pedal to do high gain but this isnt your normal marshall either.. You can definetly heat this amp up with the boost feature and it has way more gain out of the gate then a plexi for sure. The modern features are the body and detail knobs. IIRC they change the preamps freeequencies on the lows(body) and highs (detail) It does not add gain but rather shapes the tone by messing around with the highs and lows. Another winning amp for sure!!

So it sounds amazing with a boost? I'm a little confused by the description and hype if it doesn't sound amazing as far as high gain goes.. :?
