Ok, so I have decided on one of these two pickups for my 2011 Gibson SG. Wade from MCP has suggested a underwound Afwayu, and I have owned a couple of MCP pickups before and really love their sound. However I was on the BKP forum yesterday and listened to some clips of an SG with the Stockholm p90 sized humbuckers that sounded amazing and now Im kind of back to square one. I have never owned a P90 guitar, but I play rock/hard rock and metal some times. I have however played some guitars with p90's in them and always enjoyed them. Does anyone have any experiences with these pickups in a SG?

I have a 17k manlius p90 in an sg and it sounds amazing.

Do you want crisper highs more snarl and noise or a darker quiet humbucker?

How much gain are you using?
You'll have to deal with 60 cycle hum if you go with the Stockholm.
I have one in the Neck position on one of my SG's and it sounds cool, but I don't use it too often because of the hum.
I have no complaints about the A5 Warpig in my bridge though.

Hey guys thanks for the replies! I will be using medium/moderate gain. I play mostly hard rock and metal, but I don't consider the amount of gain to be over the top. I have a ISP Decimator, will this help to kill the 60 cycle hum?
