I wonder if anyone can help with some thechnical info. I've asked people who I thought should know but still haven't been happy with the answers.
I have been running a Mesa Triaxis and using a Mesa Mark 3 combo as my power amp until I can get a 2:90 (connecting the output of the Triaxis to the FX return of the Mark 3). This setup seems to work well so until I get the 2:90 it will do the job. However I sometimes for convenience use the Mark 3 on its own. The amp works fine on its own but I am trying to run a Boss GT8 in the effects loop of the Mark 3 with not much luck. I had been having trouble with the Mark 3 FX loop for some time and eventually had it modified with another tube added. I was told this was to overcome impedance mismatch of the FX loop and my FX processor which at that time was a Korg A3.
My problem is that no matter how little level I send to the GT8 from the FX loop, the GT8 overloads. I've tried adjusting the GT8 input with -20db but still no luck. Any suggestions what I can do about this? Thanks in advance for any help.
