George and his web site forum has been helping me and my company for over ten years now. If your looking for THE PLEXI TONE with a little more gain and flexibility, this is your amp. Stop screwing around with the trends of the day and or overpaying due to some guys name and his connections. this is the one you want.

Yes, me as well. The amp sounds fantastic, but I need the cleans.

will Metro amp still be providing marshall base kit for builders?

I actually prefer it without the cleans. I'd rather run two amps if I absolutely had to have a clean channel. Just never heard a swiss army knife that sounded right to my ears. I don't really know enough about circuit design to say for sure but I suspect in order to optimize things for the gain you have to make sacrifices on the clean side or vice versa.

I agree, completely. Your favorite gain amp + a Bogner Metropolis (for example) for clean and crunch-ola tones is undeniable. That, or a kick-ass rack setup. The Egnater/Rocktron preamps are due to be released soon, which will include Plexi, AC30, and Blackface preamp tones.

If you have a loop-switcher and an effects loop; route the preamp section of your favorite amp head through loop #1 > clean tone preamp through loop #2 > effects (if any) > back to the loop return of your HG head. Works great for me; though I need to do some tube swapping to get the cleans I want out of my Triaxis... It will never do Metropolis cleans, but then what amp will?

No doubt a dedicated clean amp and a dedicated dirty amp will always beat out an all in one amp.

But for those of us who don't wanna carry and set up multiple amps, an all in one amp fits the bill..

Go with the PT100 if you need it all in one amp

George,

Did you have a chance to try the A/B box so both low and high inputs can be used? BTW.....Put my deposit down last week for one of these bad boys.

I haven't yet, sorry. I will this week. Should have #4 fired up tomorrow.

Obviously talking about Bogner.

I worded it badly. Its not Bogner and I wish I had not included that sentence. I simply forgot about how many drama queens are here ready to run with it. I simply wanted to pay a compliment to a guy who has helped me greatly. One extra sentence and all this bullshit starts flowing. Let it go Reza.

Sounds good no matter what is played through it. Can't wait to get mine!

I made a clip with my Metro-Plex using the neck PUP of my tele. I absolutely love this amp! Bravo George!

Your clips sound killer gutpile, any chance for some clips with a Les Paul?

Thanks! To be honest, this is the first time I have picked up my tele and strat in a long time! I was curious to see how a single coil would sound through the amp and I was pleasantly surprised! So far, no matter what guitar I throw at this amp it just sounds right! My #1 is an R8 I picked up a few years ago. I will definitely be making clips with that guitar soon!

Thanks,
Mike

Your R8 is awesome. Definitely one of the best I've played. No surprise it sounds great with your new amp.
The way the harmonics stack up and the feedback hovering just below the surface at all times is amazing.

Tried the A/B box and it won't work. When you plug into the lo input it disconnects the hi input. I play with that input circuit next week and see if there's a better way to wire it.

I hate you All.. :bash: This thread not doing any good for this G.A.S.that is killing me. :aww:   :m17:
