The True Replica Cabinets are simply the best you can buy and as good as or better than a real vintage Marshall, because they have all been assembled to the highest uniform quality, with many original parts and if it wasn't available George would make it himself. It was suggested to George to put a wood burned Metro logo inside the cabs, so they aren't passed off as originals, they are that exact.
Metro is just regrouping at the moment, the Metropoulos Replicas are selling very well as are the cabinets. The kits will be offered again, but just the complete kits, they won't offer for general sale all the parts they did.
George is a hell of nice guy and he sure knows how to build the best product out there..period. It is actually insulting to call them clones, Metro's have their own integrity and character, and they aren't finished until he feels they sound right..I have has all the original vintage Marshall cabs and would buy the Replica every time over some beer sodden, mucked up original.
And they are very modest about their product, letting the amps and cabs speak for themselves.

I do not think he has to burn his name into the cabs, if you mistaken a new cab for something 33 years old you have other issues you need to address.

Looks like Mills has a price class competitor for the who can spend the most crowd.

What's going on at Metro? Getting out of the kit business?

George does seem to have everyone beat on the highest prices. The only other nosebleed cab prices are Diezel. I am sure its high quality stuff though and wouldn't second guess anyone on that. You are paying for replication and quality. That's what most of us are after. A few hundred extra feds for total satisfaction is nothing. Second guessing costs a hell of a lot more in the long haul.

Reminds of something similar.....I used used to work in the oilwell firefighting business. The late Red Adair used to tell people regarding fly by night competition...."if you think hiring professionals is expensive - try hiring a bunch of amateurs"!
