I can't wait for them to add more dates to the US Tour. I love the Crue.
It would be the shit if I could meet them somehow.

Hell yes....was in 8th grade I think when Shout at the Devil came out....then discovered Too Fast for Love...
I been downhill since.

I watched it last night I couldn't believe how great they sounded. Mick was just flawless and groovin like a bitch.

Underrated....Not too sure I agree? I think he just never stood out. Is it because of the other guys always making front page rock news with off stage behavior? Probably. Or the fact that other guitarists around the time were better? Not sure. He just kinda got lost in the wash. I like old Crue, but never thought his tone was awesome.

I always thought he used JCM800's back in the day...don't know what he uses now.

Decade of Decadence, albeit remixed, allows one to hear how his tone changed over time. Very cool.
Opening to riff to Girls, Girls, Girls and other Crue songs is so primal and full of erect penis blood.

Yup.....When I heard WILD SIDE....it was another Game Changer....so damn good/thrashy...yet full of hair spray. Loved it.

Love Micks tone on Primal Scream!! Face it he's one of a handful of players that can Kill it to a packed stadium

Wild side rules bro. One of my fav songs to play. The old jam band years back would rock that one.

And Metallica openly states they wanted the massive tone of the Dr Feelgood disc when they were getting the sound for The Black Album.

Tommy Lee's Drums were so massive on that track. Good stuff for certain.

Motley Crue was solid man for man. TL was a machine on drums, Sixx a great bottom end and writer, MM with the right mean tones and riffs, and uh, yeah, Neil was alright.

I remember seeing them once and he had three amps: Soldano, Bogner, Marshall.

It's so refreshing to read how people think he is underrated. I think he is as well. One of my favorite guitar solos is Home Sweet Home and it's one of the simplest guitar melodies to play but so extremely powerful. He just writes some monster hooks even though he may not be as flashy as most from the 80s. Never been in love with his tone but never thought it was bad. I actually like the Theater of Pain guitar tone which I think was a Jose modded JCM 800. I saw Motley Crue in 1990 and in 2011 and both times they sounded awesome and performed great.

haha "Neil was alright"... usually the drunkest one on stage (still now it seems) but you have to admit, his cutting high voice was a huge part of that sound as well. Sixx was an awesome song writer. Sure there were some real weak tunes on a lot of albums and a lot of it seemed like drug induced filler but the hits were solid top down camero in the summer hits! They still stand the test of time today.

Always liked micks riffs , he played for the song as a whole. I remember reading and interview yrs back and he stated that he only uses his old Jose mods in the studio and uses mainly soldanos on tour for the roadworthness.

One of the best SLO sounds recorded and best drum sounds are on the Corabi record. That record is a bomb.
I remember at the 90's, they were the labelled as a "Poser" band. And the funniest is, that they were anything but "posers", they were real animals. :D
