It would be so cool if they would release some of the live concert footage they did from 1981 - 1984, those years were just incredible Van Halen years.
I would love to see the video footage of Van Halen live at the Hammersmith Odeon in London during their first tour , the audio is just incredible .

They say they video taped every show during those years , I would love to see full video instead of clips during 1978 .

I have mixed feelings on it myself. I would love to hear other ideas he had brewing etc. But there is also a reason that the stuff never made it on a record or was never finished. We have the demos and the bootlegged stuff already. It kinda ruins the mystery for me when all the bones of songs are picked over but that is just me talking.

I get what you are saying, like im kinda curious to hear but at the same time i know most of it is probably mediocre hence why its on the shelf, a lot of bands i like have done stuff like this and im usually saying "i really didnt need to hear that" after listening even though it sounds like a great idea. live stuff i would definitely like to hear/see though

As usual, bands missing the boat on free money by not releasing a live album of the tour…. No idea why this isnt done more, even by bands w a static setlist.

Contracts I’m guessing.

For me it would just be the ambiance of it all as didn't get to see any of those show so I don't care as much about the audio quality.

At one point 10-15 years ago I had at least 50-60 complete/mostly complete Zeppelin shows.
Didn't matter the recording quality or overall performance, they all contributed to the feel of really knowing what the band was about.

With Zep, some of the most ridiculous playing is on early boots that sound like crap.

Two of the overall best though.

During a snow storm in NYC 1975. They played stuff off Graffiti even before the album was released.
You can almost smell the weed the entire show. Really laid back vibe but still nuts at times.

Insane! First show in LA (there favorite city) in two years and the crowd is freaking rabid the whole show.
Band really feeds off the energy. INCREDIBLE 3+ hour concert.

Ive got a decent collection of good to great audio and video bootlegs , probably most of the stuff everyone else has . I’ve been waiting for official live shows, box sets , rarities ect. forever . I’ll believe it when I see it

^same here brother, I'll believe it when I see it.

Also, there is a big difference between 'recording every show' and 'pro shot' stuff. But like I said, I'll take any synched up footage I can get even if it is bad audio.
