I own a RL v30 cab 4x12. I was just curious to know in someone of you have mix, with an x pattern, some other speakers with keeping 2 v30.

What do you think/suggest about it? I play it with a 5150 or a SLO.

The classic mixture is V30s with G12T75s in an X-Pattern like in the Bogner Uebercab. I would try that first.

The questions is what do you want to achieve with mixing speakers?

I would like to eliminate a bit of the harshness. I have just tested a vader with eminences and it has softer highs (tested with my 5150 and my usual eq). I love the tightness of the diezel but it is a bit hard about the mid-high. Some told me to try the g12k100...but there is a big mismatch about watts!

I would try the V30/G12T75 combination first. Don't worry too much about the different power ratings in this case. The G12K100s have too much bass for the Diezel rearloaded construction IMO.

+1 on this one.

I've used the Überschall-cab-configuration in my Diezel RL 4x12" and liked it a lot when I had a VH4.

G12-65's with the V30's is a warm aggresive combo. I've heard other guys use two 30's and two 65's in x-pattern in a 4x12. I don't have a 4x12 otherwise I would do that.
I play one of each in a 2x12 FL Diezel style cab. Or sometime I throw a EVM12L w/ one V30.

Maybe you would like V30's with the EV's? Don't know how much you like or half experience with the EV's
I'm just speaking from 2x12 experience.

Andy Wood use's V30's and 65's so does AmpAddict(I think thats his handle on here) Who is Todd Duane a KILLER player.
TD has gas'd about the 65 and 30 X-pattern combo on the Diezel page before. He's got youtube vids as well if your looking for sounds. He's got one video post on here with the new Herbert MKII into what I'm pretty sure is his X-pattern cab. If you interested and can't find it I will dig it up for a bruh! Just let me know.

Happy Trails on your tone journey!

Unfortunately my experience with the V30+G12H30 speaker combo wasn't with a Diezel, but with a Dr Z Mazerati (non-GT). The accentuated high-end of the V30 coupled with the warmth and roundness of the G12 made for very three-dimensional and harmonically rich & beautiful amplification. If i were to get a cab for my Einstein 50 filled with speakers of my choice, that would be the mix i'd go for. The tone with the Mazerati thru the cab was a very heady and full-body experience; the harmonically rich gain from a Diezel would sound even more sensual. Man, all signs point towards 'new cab' for my next gear purchase. Soon enough, me hearties! :D

EDIT:
just read your post all the way through, I'm not entirely sure that my suggestion would take care of what you're looking for (tight, tight bass response leading to an ass-pounding rhythm feel...right? ), but i think the V30/G12H30 combo is a little more well-rounded - beautiful, thick lead tone, Fender-ish clean chordal work, harmonically rich gain throughout. The other suggestions might be more up your alley though, seems to me like you want the tonal equivalent of the shower scene in American History X. :gethim: ;)  I.E. relentless and a rhythmic response that is viscerally brutal.

I'm gonna search it!

Anyway, guys, you are very kind to help me through this choice! I've understood that the main suggestion is the g12t75 or the g12 65.

Someone suggest me some eminence like these:

what do you think?

Ps. sorry, cant find the video you say...con you link it? Thanx!

IMHO stay away from the Eminence speakers. I never found one i liked...especially with my Diezels. Go with the V30/GT75 and i bet you will be quite happy
