Let me put it another way. Pushing back on someone when they are spewing bad info helps curtail that bad info being passed to those who are new to gear and don't know any better. And it helps to stop the spread. Granted this example is more dangerous than guitar gear, but there's a similar situation in the woodworking world. People like Kid with little experience spout horrible 100% incorrect advice that could result in newcomers who are unaware losing fingers, having life altering injuries, and even death.

We aren't talking about losing fingers, we're talking about blowing speakers, which is exactly what would happen eventually if you ran a cranked 100 watt head into an 80 or 100 watt cab for any length of time making the whole argument completely irrelevant anyways. Let's say this was an an Orthodox forum. Someone with little to no experience with Orthodoxy; but who presented themselves as an expert, kept rolling into threads going on and on and on misquoting and misrepresenting the Orthodox bible, church and teachings. Would you just say nothing or maybe say "no you're wrong" once and move on?
