Got the cab in yesterday!
Cool looking cab, seems to be the same dimensions as the Mesa OS
Did a little video comparing the cab with the WGS speakers to the Mesa. The WGS will not be staying. I'll get a proper cab review up on my main channel once I swap some 8 Ohm V30's into it. So far, it really seems to lack low end compared to the Mesa.

The Mesa might still have more lowend after the swap. For whatever reason the ported cabs have less lowend than a standard design. That is the case with the Grand Canyon. I also found the same thing to be true for a port city 4x12 I had. With that being said the clarity and open sounding nature of the Grand Canyon is what’s special about it. The WGS spears suck IMO I’ve had those in other cabs. Dark and undefined especially the ET90s.

That mic didn't do either cab any favors. Mesa cab sounded like it was mic'd from behind it. I have the ET65 and British Leads. The ET65's sound ok in the room but record pretty dull (same as the Celestion 65's IMO). Don't care for those personally. The British Leads are great though.
Of the two in your vid the Mojotone sounded better. Hope you do a better recording of it before you switch the speakers.

Wasn't meant to be a great recording and it wasn't many to do either cab any favors. Pretty much any mic stuck 5 feet back directly in between cabs isn't going to give the best results, but it will show you the differences in a room between the two cabinets, and that's what it did.

I already removed the speakers. These cabs don't come "stock" with anything and I wasn't loving the wgs speakers in the cab. I also can't get a good grip on how a cab sounds without having speakers I know well in it, so that's why I dropped vintage 30s in it for the time being. I will do my own testing and will make a video both close mixing the cab and comparing it to the Mesa OS sometime in the next couple of weeks.

As for the WGS speakers, they will get their own videos down the road. I've been meaning to do some speaker review videos but for a long time wasn't sure how I wanted to go about it but I have a solid setup and ideas in mind to finally start tackling them
