Can't friggin wait for this!!! First time I've been really excited about a new release since AIC in '09 and Sound Awake by Karnivool.

Seems that they finally are doing their songs justice with great tone and production. Killer!

we must have a similar taste in music. My fav new albums of the last few years have been AIC's comeback and Sound Awake and my most anticipated release is the new big wreck! \m/ so much good new music!! :D

The Bones isn't on the album, but I'm sure it'll sound fantastic live!
Party pooper.

:D

So, not to ask a stupid question, but why is the amp on the video, but not on the album?

I'm guessing he got into Fortin amps after the recording was finished, and wanted to give props since he is using them live now. Just a guess. Might just be for show too. Since Fortin is high quality and in the "elite", maybe Ian wants other guitarists to know he's cool.
Besides, they look cool. How many bands have a Dual rectifier in their videos even if they aren't actually on the album?

I'm officially totally stoked to get this when it comes out.

Yeah, sorry about that lol. He acquired the Bones after he had finished the album. Ian is an incredible musician, and these new batch of tunes rule! Great to see them back and see him playing with Brian again!

Yes, the album was already done when he grabbed my prototype Bones to check out. This was back in October 2011. I had a modded Marshall for him to check as well, he just gravitated towards the Bones. It shortly got added to his live rig. In 2 weeks we have to add a loop and interface the voicing switches to his g-system to gear up for their new tour. There are some YT live clips of him playing through the amp if you want to check that out.
Cheers,
Mike

Man, seeing all this love for Ian and crew makes me feel right at home here @ Rig-Talk.

Few people I know love that band. I saw them in 98 at Barristers here in Memphis. They were unreal, humble, just altogether true rock majesty. Saw them in 2001 @ the Nick in Birmingham. They played for about 50 people, including HR and Dr. Know of the Bad Brains.

Such fire, royal guitar tones and soul. God I love that band!

Cool.

I wasn't aware of these guys. I am really digging their tunes.

great voice/sound
reminds me of chris cornell/soundgardern

Just heard this band for the first time today thanks to Pete Thorn posting a link on FB. WOW!!!

SO glad to see Thornley doing more stuff with Big Wreck--and having it be great material. And very badass to see him using a Fortin!

Another new tune. Just killer. Solo at the end is pretty sick....

Hey Pete,
Check out this live clip from this past Oct. Nice ripping solo work in this one too...around 4:32...

Cheers,
Mike

Always a bonus to rear Ian cut loose on record, as well as live. Thanks for the links, gentlemen.
