hey, it was by Munich. Called Mercure Hotel. Very strange place, think the eagles experienced a similiar hotel than wrote the song hotel California.

Andy Cherna in Quebec has got a warehouse full of 'em. He's a great guy to do business with - and I'm sure testing driving whatever heads are of interest could be easily arranged.

For a while I wanted to sell my Herbert to buy a second VH4 to run with my first VH4.
Now I have them dialed in and they both sound best when both are running together. (at least the way I have them set).

I say scoop up both over time, you could most likely buy both second hand and spend the same price as one would cost brand new.

I love having both and I am so glad the Herbert didn't sell.

Just buy a Herbert mate. It will be a different animal to your VH4, a new and fresh tone. You didn't click with it before, but you'd be able to spend a lot more time with it this time and dial it in to your liking.

Of course, if in reality you are just craving THAT VH4 tone, then just get a VH4. If not, I'd go for something new (which you can flip relatively easily in the event you don't gel with it after some proper dialing in). I may re-buy the VH4 at some stage though if one comes up for sale at a good price...really miss that amp and regret selling it.

Impossible. The Hagen delivers the greasiness. I can't give that up.
