In my attempt to downsize and focus on guitars I really need, I started putting this together:

Warmoth Meadowhawk build.

Just need some multi-conductor to come in for the selector switch and I can string up and test:

I love Warmoth builds ...... those pick ups are gnarly ... wonder what they sound like

It's done.

Some interesting findings were that it did not like 9-42 set strings. It didn't feel right or sound right. I swapped them for my go to 10-46 and everything was right in the galaxy again...

It's tuned to standard EADGBE.

I've noticed over the years that some guitars sound and respond better with certain gauge strings and certain tunings. I guess it's the variables that come with using natural wood...

I will make a clip after it settles. When you assemble these partscasters, it takes a few days for them to settle. It's the first time the wood is subjected to tension. Things settle and shift a little under string tension...

Just a little update. I'm super busy this week, so clips will be next week.

This is the best sounding partscaster I have assembled. It plays and sounds amazing. It did need a little bit of fret leveling on the upper frets. This was performed by Jerry of Luxxtone. I have a gig this Friday and I'll be using it for 50% of the three sets we are playing...

The one on the left ain't bad either....

But does it Malcolm???

It's interesting, the powertron that I have in the bridge is thicker overall. For Malcolm tones I would stick to the TV Jones Classic or at the most classic +
