Well friends unfortunately I have to gig tonight so I hope you all have a nice time building friendships on RT and burnishing the leather pads on your fingertips with lots of guitar time. Lord bless.☦️

I stopped ripping rod becsuse my calluses on my phallus got too truck driveresque.

The fruits of 3-4-5 hours of practice a day. I can punch a hole through your chest with my fingertips now but I'll settle for having a hell of a strident hammer on. Gotta get prepared for festival season. Maybe you've settled on plucking a few notes here and there but.....

I like the commitment. I’ve fallen so deep in meaningless minutiae that I get persnickety when one of my hammer-ons/pull-offs produces an artifact only detectable by me that interferes with the “evenness” of my legato.

Problem is, I’m really not good enough where I should be worried about such things. Guitarring is hard sometimes.

It's a terrible thing when you slack off long enough for your callouses to disappear, and i have. An hour on acoustic and I was in pain.
Have I misread or can you apply superglue to your fretting fingers to help them hold up until your callouses come back?

I don't usually talk like this and I know @VonBonfire can play. But ffs, man up, guys. This ain't TGP.

Imagine Hendrix or SRV started screaming in the middle of a gig, "BLISTER! BLISTER!"

Hyok hyok.

Separately, it's a great idea to get some calluses on your picking hand as well by playing bass fingerstyle.

That way, people won't ever tell you that you don't have a working man's hands and think you're a narc or a cop. And the girls will love it.

What I mean by all of that is, be like this guy:
