It’s a chunk monster . Steve gave me 2 ruby’s . Got it half way running first time in a few years . It’s not perfect but this time is a good start . Need more mids and more gate . But any how I love this amp . My first tube amp . Bought new in 1998 . It blows my RG 100 away which I was using before I got this . It also ate my JVM 410 alive .

Yeah. Sounds amazing

That sounds fucking brutal. I wouldn’t have guessed TSL. Nothing wrong with that tone at all. I think I like more saturation but that’s my only gripe.

The JVM sounds like its own thing and either you love them or you don’t. Personally I’m not a huge JVM fan.

Nice!! I think we all forget how great our old amps sounded. Almost like a journey and we all come back around.

I'll say this. The tricks with boosts, volume, noise gates, etc is info I didn't have back in the day and something I learned over years of playing. I probably would have held on to more stuff.

I actually was considering getting a TSL60 because I used to own a DSL100. I would bias the TSL60 down to make sure it's cooler than the Marshall suggestion to try to prevent the overheating. Why is it the TSL60 are so cheap and it seems no one raves about them?

Back to back the jvm just wouldn’t the roar my other marshals do . Just didn’t fully open up imo . But I like jvm

I had the TSL60, I couldn't return it fast enough. I bought it new years ago, the footswitch never worked and I thought it sounded like garbage. They were infamously unreliable, especially the 100.

I had one of these in like 2005 and fucking loved it. Gimme 3-channel heads all day long.

I just heard from Dan Gower say on Sunday that the TSL and DSL were a little flubby in the low end and that a boost was required. Strangely, I remember being able to play without a boost on the DSL100 that I used to own. However, I wonder if it was flubby and I just remember it differently. I was interested in the TSL60 because it has a master volume and is lower wattage than the 100. Maybe just get the JVM410 like I originally planned. I'm in contact with GC / MF about finding a JVM410 and will likely pick one up this month.
