I tried to give him some 14% barrel aged stouts, but he wasn’t having it.
the UL will be missed, but it’s going to a good home. First MTL dethroned it almost 6 years ago, but my ’22 KT150 MTL is the King. Though lately I’ve been buying 50 watters because they sound really damn good

yeah. The KT200 is 200w with KT120 tubes. Surprisingly I’m not terribly interested in that one.
I guess if I do get another Wizard it’s be a MC2 6L6…. But also need to see what @WizardSouth-JP is gonna unload. Lol

No shame in 50w amps man. I’ve owned some vintage 50w Marshalls that ripped your head off. Not to mention one of my favorite amps is a D60. I like it much more than the D120. More aggression in the 60.

I could not tell a difference between my 100 watt and his 50 watt w800. I could feel the difference in punch on the 150 watter, but the 100 and 50, even on mtl circuit were same. Kinda weird. Most 50 watt iterations are more bright and dont have enough balls. Not with wizards

I agree with you on the D60! Such a killer amp. Yeah. like Chris said above, the Wizard 50w amps have the balls of a 100w amp. Just seems the easy way to go now because they are cheaper and it doubles my power tube inventory!

Yeah KT120’s IME sound quite sterile. More so than even 88’s for imo a diminished return in the bigness & headroom they have over 88’s
