My VH4 went BOOM!!! HELP PLEASE!!!!!!

Last night I was playing with my band, and after about two hours of playing the volume on my VH4 just dropped. A few minutes later the volume came back up, but I noticed that the power tubes were extremely bright so I shut off the amp for the night. Today I turned it on, let it warm up, then I turned off the standby and attempted to play. As soon as I turned off the standby it made a noise similar to ice being dropped in a deep fryer and then.......BOOM!!!!! I big bright flash... and it was dead. I just about shit my pants
I must also mention that every once in a while when I would turn on the amp, all the lights on the front panel would be flashing. So I'm not sure if it's a tube problem or something else.
There is no Diezel dealer here in Toronto so I don't know what to do. Advice would be much appreciated.

sounds like a power tube problem. are the tube failure lights lit on the back when powered up?? i would start there .

No, the tube failure lights on the back never came on. But occasionally all the lights on the front panel would flash until I had to press each one off. Now the amp doesn't turn on at all.

you have checked all fuses too, right?

My Herbert did just about the same thing.

One of the Ruby caps went bad.

Don't know if this is the case with your VH4.

Well, bottom line....if the amp's turned on, are there any red indicators lit up on the rear panel? They're marked FUSE FAULT or something like that - little red LED's.

My guess is we gots some tube probs and maybe some caps or the like...

There was a big short on the power tubes, so the tubes
and maybe some fuses have to be replaced. I hope the
screen resistors are not damaged.

Thank you for responding to my post. I will get in contact with Andy this weekend. I hope it's nothing too serious, the VH4 is my favorite amp and I can't afford to lose it.
