NAD EVH 5150 III 50 watt

I tried a few different pre-amp tubes to tame the gain on the red channel but didn't like the effect it had on the feel of the amp. Put a Tung Sol in V1 and liked what it did to the blue channel. Tried a Tung Sol in V2 and V3 but thought the stock tubes sounded better.

I heard these amps came stock with JJ tubes but mine are completely blank, have no idea what brand they are.

They are unbranded JJs and I found after swapping all kinds of preamp tubes like Rubys,Tungs Sols RFTs ect.. It really wasn`t a huge difference from the stock JJs

Try two 5751's in V3 and V4 to tame the red channel, while retaining the original feel.
I also put a NOS RFT in V1 to thicken it up a tad.
