Made a quick video this morning comparing my 5153 stealth blue channel to my plexi.. Using pre rola greenbacks and the EVH frankenstien pickup..

I hope the blue channel gets some lower gain like the old one did, only concern i`m having

it has more "usable" mids, lowering the gain gives a nice plexi type breakup. i always had a problem with the original blue channel gain dimed and the bass flubbing out. i would say 3 oclock on the stealth gets to that gain level and there is zero flub.

I've only ever heard problems with flub on channel 2 of the 50w with the gain dimed, not the 100w.

I had flub on my 50w...sold it. Now tonight I had some flub with the 100w I just bought with the gain dimed. WTF??

What cab and what pickups?

Never had flub on my 100w with the gain dimmed, just pure crunch.

Call them direct, not order online. They will give you that price. Unless it`s cause i ordered a $3000 LP Custom a couple months ago but i don`t think so, he gave me the price before i told him anything.

as I told a good friend, "dude, in 6 months we will see a Mk2 version of the 5150iii" and it's gonna be A LOT like the 100S!!!

Just odd that it wasn't even mentioned or displayed at Namm

I grabbed Chris Cannella on day 1 and grilled him
He responded with the answer (paraphrasing), "it's not here because it was a limited run, and since we have not plans to re-issue it, there was no reason to have the 100S here at the show"

Chris is a super gentle soul, and all-around good guy AFAIK. BUT....

Had a regular 5150 iii and sent it back, good but not great. Question is this that much better to consider trading in a Bogner 101b for? It sounds more SLO to me than the regular 5150 iii. I would still have my Bogner 20th XTC 101b as well. Thoughts?
