[NAM] Some NAM profiles for y'all

What NAM plugin would you recommend?
The only one I can recommend right now is the plain ol' NAM plugin since it's the only software player that has support for calibration (input and output) metadata. Without proper support, clean profiles can end up sounding gained-up or gained-up profiles can end up sounding clean.

If you're familiar with manual calibration though, you can use either of the following (which I like very much as well):

- NAM Universal
- Two Notes Genome

If you're into NAM-player pedals, the newly-released Sonulab Stompstation Pro has just added support for "calibration metadata" a few days ago - that's the one I'd recommend getting right now.

Excellent 👌🏻 Yes, definitely interested in a pedal platform. I'll have to see if that has an IR loader as well as a headphone output for a portable practice setup.

Yeah - it does.

This one plays native standard (non-converted) NAM profiles, headphone output, 2 signal paths (one can be converted to an FX Loop), Wireless/Bluetooth & management app (Mac, PC, Android, iOS). It's doing a lot of things people wanted from a NAM player.

Oh my word... This is exactly what I've been after. Thank you!!! If I get one, I'll be sure to grab some of your paid captures 🤘🏻

No problemo. If anybody's looking to get a NAM player unit today, this is the one I'd recommend people grab.

Giving the "MultiLoad" treatment to this beast of an amp.

Release should probably be about ~ 1 week or so away.

Killer amp

:rawk:

Excellent, still jamming on the Super Hi. Your captures slay.

I use the basic NAM plugin too. Drop it into your DAW, all the flexibility you could ever want.

I always said when a more affordable native NAM hardware option comes out I would get it. The Sonulab deal looks to be on the mark.

I just keep thinking a ton of real NAM players are right around the corner in different configurations. I’m getting greedy, but a ToneX One for non converted NAM files is kinda what I’m waiting for haha.

Thanks man! Happy when folks reach out & share their experience with these profiles.

I think it's now a matter of time until we get a ToneX One style pedal that plays native NAM (Standard, A1 or A2) profiles.

FWIW there was a guy in the NAM FB group who was teasing that MVAVE are preparing a native NAM player set for release sometime this year.

I ordered my Sonulab this week :)
Sweet! Congratulations!
I think that unit's (Stompstation Pro) going to sell very well - it does a lot of things folks were asking for from a NAM player.

ℹ️ “MultiLoad” - what’s this about?

The cabinet (or load) a tube amplifier interacts with has a considerable impact on the tone & feel.
For this pack, I used 2 iconic cabinets and reamped all AMP and POW settings with each cab.

ℹ️ Summary

The pack features a Friedman "Jose Arredondo" (EL34) amp captured using 2 iconic cabinets loading down the amplifier.

✅ All profiles calibrated
✅ 2 iconic guitar cabs used as loads (no reactive load):
1️⃣ Mesa 4x12 OS Straight
2️⃣ Marshall 4x12 1960BV with Marshall G12 Vintage speakers
✅ AMP, PRE & POW profiles for maximum flexibility
✅ DI and MIC-ed up flavors for each AMP and POW profile
✅ STD and REVyHI architectures
✅ Anti-aliasing signal leveraged during reamping
✅ High-fidelity signal chain used during reamping
✅ Stompbox / OD profiles included

For anybody who's interested, I did a vid walkthrough on my newly-release Friedman Jose Arredondo "MultiLoad" NAM pack:

It goes through the MultiLoad concept and contains explanations and use cases for:

- all profiles types (AMP, OD, PRE, POW)
- architecutres (STD/A1, REVyHI by @thegearpage38)
- other concepts that are used in the pack (calibration, profile stacking etc)

Hope this makes it easier to nagivate & thank you for all the support thus far!
