The OP has it dead on, and everyone who said VH1, VH2, and FW hit the nail on the head. WACF is a close second to those.

I wore out my records, my ears, and my calluses listening to those albums.

Althought all three stand equal, I'd probably prefer VH2 if I could only have one on a deserted island.

Fair Warning used to be my favorite, but I've since come to like '1984' the most.
The whole album is great....'House of Pain' and 'Girl Gone Bad' is Eddie writing at his peak IMO.

House Of Pain was written before the first album came out, most of Girl Gone Bad was written around Diver Down era.

btw, Hang Em High is also pre 78
