VH1
Women and Children First
1984

Honestly, it was hard not including either Fair Warning or VH2 in there.

One, Nineteen Eighty Four, FUCK

(And hopefully the new one....)

My favorite 3 albums from the Van Halen discography are “Van Halen”, “1984” and “Van Halen II”. My favorite songs are “You really got me” and “Dance the night away”.

Anyone listing a Sammy album over any Roth, besides Diver Down, should be sent to the timeout chair while you think about what you did wrong. :D

If you said Gary Cherone, I would agree with you, but I got into Van Hagar first, and then Van Roth afterwards. 5150 was my first VH...

Me too. I first heard 5150 when I was 11 or 12, right before I started playing guitar. That album really got my attention and made me focus on the guitar and what Eddie was doing. Even the tone is a big influence on me today because it was the first that made me pay attention. As I got older, I went backwards with VH and realized the superiority of Roth era material. I dig both eras and Sammy is a great singer, but Roth is truly one of a kind. Love him or hate him, nobody matches his charisma onstage.

vh1
fair warning
1984 - girl gone bad, so good!!!
-don't like hagar vh at all, roth is where its at!

A Different Kind of Truth
Women & Children
VHI

I.
II/Fair Warning/1984/WACF....
The Me Wise Magic stuff...

Man it's like picking a favorite kid. Even the fucked up ones I love...see some of Cherone era stuff

For me, VH the band starts with Ed and Al and I get the whole DLR, Hagar feud...and I really dig both periods of music. But, IMHO, w/o Mike....they lost something huge and integral to the VH machine. Sorry Wolfie, but you ain't no Mike Anthony. The harmonies while mike was on board were unmatched and still are. Again, IMO. ;)
