taddaaaaa
my friend who lives in LA just arrived here (Salvador, Bahia, Brazil) and brought me a '73 JMP50, an '81 Les Paul Standard, a Jerry Cantrell Wah and a MXR CAE Booster / Overdrive
he also brought a 2005 Les Paul Standard Faded, a Bogner Alchemist and an AMT B1 pedal, but those aren't mine
couldn't try the marshall yet, since it requires those vintage plugs for impedance and voltage selection, but I'm quite surprised with the Alchemist
it's much better than I expected after reading the reviews here (at least in low volumes)
sounds pretty good with the punch switch engaged, no boost and gain around 6-7
the marshall is in pretty good shape for a '73 and has a tube buffered loop and master volume
it actually has two knobs in the front, but I'm not sure if they're both master volumes (maybe a master + ppimv?)
don't know how the channels are wired yet
I'm taking it to my tech friend Zambelli
both Les Pauls are great, but the 2005 Faded is kicking my '81s ass!
I'll install a BK Riff Raff in the bridge of the '81
the B1 pedal is waaaay too gainy
I have to set the gain around 2 to get amp like saturation
it can sound close to the alchemist if I roll the highs off
gonna try the Cantrell Wah and the CAE Overdrive now
