I picked up this mint, near New, Boogie cabinet that has Celestion C 90s on the top and electro voice 12 L’s in the bottom.

Is the top open or closed? I find it interesting that Mesa only sold these with the top open, since so many people seem to like them best with the top closed. I believe Mesa still sells the panel to close the top of these

Open top, which I think sounds better for the band that I’m in, a 3 piece.

The last set up I had was electro voice thiele 1x12 and an open top 2X12 Celestion G12-75. I really like that sound but this new cabinet, it is much clear and as a tighter bass response. Especially at low volume!

I will be using it on memorial day at a party. Hopefully I won’t put a scratch on it.
