yeah

stock tremonti pickups are the worst.

the bridge is scooped and bassy

the neck is dark and muddy.

i have had good luck with a bareknuckle nail bomb ceramic in mine stoptail tremonti.

still looking for the right pickup for my tremolo tremonti.

i favor lower out put, but what works in my les pauls doesnt quite get me there with the tremonti.

usually i like wolfetone marshallheads, and wcr darkbursts in my les pauls.

i even find the aldrich too hot.

Thanks for posting the clips, I will have mine at the end of January. I'm a huge Tremonti fan and have a PRS Tremonti Hardtail with BK Warpigs and a Trem Tremonti that's stock. Can't wait to check it out!

How high did you have the gain here?

Clean channel - not a peep

Gain channel - No real noticable hiss until the gain is turned up past 7ish... But that's a ton of gain already... I like it right on 5.5 to 6.

Excellent. I was curious to see if was one of those high-gainers that needs a noise gate. Sounds like it doesn't.

Clips are awesome. I run an overdrive pedal on all my high gain amps to tighten up the low end and get a mid spike. Have you tried running one? Does the high gain channel even need one? The only amps I felt didn't need one were Engl amps.
