This particular amp was a one-off, but I'm sure Dave can do a similar one for you with different cosmetics.

E-mail him at dave@baroncustomamps.com. He's an excellent guy to deal with. Best customer service and product I've ever had, hence why I now own two :D

Yeah, that sounds like more gain that what an XTC does. Well, not really the amount of gain since anyone can use a Tubescreamer, it just sounds a little tighter than an XTC. I like the XTC but my Fortin Cali mod is just............ :rock:
 
It's a lot tighter than any XTC I've heard, which is a win. It wasn't even on the tight power amp voicing.

I'll definitely be bringing this to the ampfest.

I can't wait to get a Cali mod too. Natas is first, though :D

I played a Ecstasy once and was unimpressed. It had character that I could dig, but a lot of "personality flaws" :lol: :LOL:

Dave and I shared all of the same sentiments about the amp, so he built me an interpretation of the amp that says, "if I made an amp of this vein, this is what it would sound like."

Again, this is a one off that will never be available to anyone else, and a testament to what remarkable ears and skills he has when it comes to voicing amplifiers.

The amp is being boosted with a Maxon OD-820 pro. It is nearly as tight unboosted, but I wanted a suiting metal tone. I'll have to learn some slower, classic metal/rock, to show this baby off more!
 
I'm not impressed by many amps anymore after going through a shitload of them but all these Barons sound fucking great man. I like it better than any Fortin I have heard, save that modded jcm 800 Fortin.

I know the feeling. I've had the opportunity to play a lot of amplifiers- I've played every amplifier I have ever set eyes on- and only Dave Woodhouse's and Mike Fortin's appeal to me anymore. I had never heard of Baron Custom Amps before researching custom amp builders on the web and I threw down my money and hoped for the best. I ended up with two amps that I will never, ever, sell, and a friendship with an incredible builder.
 
I just wish you'd stop using those v30s already. :lol: :LOL: Your Marshall sound walked all over the Boner IMO.

I don't own a Marshall and what Boner is being walked on :lol: :LOL: (I'll admit I'm a slight bit confused by the second half of this :D )

I'm sure that's very good news on all fronts considering how long it must have taken you to track down your 100B. I've always wanted one, but I think I've got something with comparable awesomeness :D
