It would be helpful to know which model badcat you have and which transformer you think is the issue.

What makes you think it is a transformer issue?

I would look at tubes first as well.

Tubes usually either fail real early (mins, hours, days, weeks), or last a long time. Not uncommon for fresh tubes to die early.
 
I would guess tube failure too, it's very common in something that new

If it ISNT the tubes, thats into the yikes zone
 
Yeah when I first got my Deliverance 60 one of the power tubes lost vacuum within 2 weeks. Put in a new set and the amp was rock solid for over a decade after that
