It was actually his mother who talked him into taking the Ozzy gig. That seance theory is just my own. Did they unlock something they weren’t supposed to? It’s far fetched. It also seems unlikely because I think Randy was at least a semi-religious person. Not saying he was perfect, but I know the dark stuff that surrounded Ozzy’s camp bugged Randy. In the end, I think it was just a stupid accident. Simple as that.
I've experienced many bizarre events. Some perpetuated, others spontaneous. Magic is nothing to fool with. My advice to others is that if you weren't born into it, stay away.

I believe you. I was listening to this guy who used to be in the LA metal scene back in the day recount some experiences he had messing around with that dark stuff. He was in a band with that German singer, Mandy Lion. I think they were called Trick or Treat, or something like that. Guy telling the story was the guitarist. He said that they’d been together for a few weeks or days and things weren’t really clicking for them. They took a break at practice and he and the bass player tried this dark, satanic…thing or ritual. Kinda like a seance or something like it. Don’t know specifics. Don’t wanna know. He said that after they did that and came back from break, they wrote something like three songs back to back then and there. Things started to “click” after that, but that there was a dark presence surrounding them from that moment. Fast forward a few months and they were supposed to play this showcase gig for some record guys, and Lion didn’t show up. The band folded after that. Guitarist said that he ran into Lion years later and asked him why he bailed. Lion said that he couldn’t put his finger on it, but he felt there was dark, satanic stuff surrounding the band and it freaked him out. That was why he’d bailed on them. Interesting story, for sure.

Take of it what you will. I believe that stuff is real. Not to be messed with.

I was never into Satanism, but my friend and former bandmate was. Some years later he claimed to be a Christian, but was still up to his evil ways. We started a band together which resulted in several cool originals. When he presented overtly Satanic lyrics, I quit the band.

Good for you. Don’t even mess around with that stuff.

Wiki reads; "Biographers consider the song (Dolly Dagger) to be written about Hendrix's girlfriend Devon Wilson." This is incorrect. It is about two women... Dolly and Devon. Dolly is the mother of my friend, Kelli. She (Dolly) worked at a L.A. area lounge that was doing a pirate theme, where the staff wore a toy dagger. She was a groupie who was in with several musicians, one of them being Jimi Hendrix. Another was Nicki Hopkins. She may have married Nicky at some point, I don't rightly recall? If there is any reality to the song's lyrics, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree...

"Dolly Dagger"

Here comes Dolly Dagger
Her love's so heavy, gonna make you stagger
Dolly Dagger
She drinks the blood from a jagged edge
Aw, drink up, baby

Been riding broomsticks since she was fifteen
Blowin' out all the other witches on the scene
She got a bullwhip just as long as your life
Her tongue can even scratch the soul out of the devil's wife
Well, I seen her in action at the Player's Choice
Turn all the love men into doughnut boys
Hey, red hot mama, you better step aside
This chick's gonna turn you to a block of ice
Look out!

Here comes Dolly Dagger
Her love's so strong, gonna make you stagger, baby
Dolly Dagger
She drinks her blood from a jagged edge
Uh, right on
Drink up, baby
Hey!

Yeah, look at old burnt out Superman, tryin' to shoot his dust on the sun
Captain Karma kids, they're dead on the run
Oh, words of love, do they ever touch Dolly Brown?
Better get some highway an' clear outta town

Here comes Dolly Dagger
Her love's so heavy, gonna make you stagger
Dolly Dagger
She ain't satisfied 'til she gets what she's after
She drinks the blood from a jagged edge
Better watch out, baby, here comes your master

Alright
Watch out, Devon
You give me a little bit of that heaven

There are two kinds of "satanism" One is just a troll at christians and is mostly empty headed kids that have nothing better to do and the other is a age old belief system or religion. The latter is the one that aleister crowley, blavatsky and many others practiced.
Have you ever wondered why even mainstream music and so many tv shows these days have Satanic imagery involved?
It is everywhere, hip hop videos, commercials.etc.
Years ago it was mostly just in dark Metal bands imagery and lyrics but now you have creatures like lil nas x glorifying it?

The original 'occult' rocker.

Before trying to assasinate President Gerald Ford, Manson groupie Squeaky Fromme had tried getting to him.

What you're referring to is called "manifestation in art". It is most often deliberate, other times coincidental. It's been going on for centuries.

Oxymoron. Materialism and shallowness are prime motivators.
People who are into the occult rarely care about that stuff. The more sinister ones care about power not money. No to mention the absurd amount of reading required to learn everything.
