1st thing I thought of when seeing this was the people on this board who were going to complain about the price...or worse yet, the "I'd rather get a ________ for $___ and put a _____ on it" guys comparing it to a usable guitar.

Guys.... these are special collectors items for uber-rich lawyer types, not guitars for players (don't we all already know that?), and the price needs to stay consistent with similar pieces. Furthermore....add up the total of all the guitars selling and what Eddie gets out of the deal...and he probably spends more than that on a weekend getaway a few times per year. In other words, it's not a big "money grab" for a guy in his league ($$$).

I see it as a cool offering for what my friends refer to as 'blues doctors'... the very wealthy super-fans who will enjoy the cool personal collectible traits of this type of stuff. Even if I had the $$, I'd never invest it in such a thing either....but I do enjoy seeing these sorts of releases, especially the 'personally played Eruption' idea here. Don't wait for your heroes to die to enjoy their sunset years...this crap is entertaining.

This! Well said

Thanks man... I knew tons of guys on here would enjoy feeling smart comparing these to building one. (which Eddie pretty much started everyone doing 40years ago anyways) The funny thing is, a lot of these are the same guys who've tried stuff like using phillips-head screws for their amp-handle because they heard that's what Eddie's original Marshall had.

Can't wait to see the price..
Hell, I'd shell out maximum $60 for that hodge-podge monstrosity IF it includes a hard shell case and a Steve Vai electric ham sandwich (thanks to F. Zappa).

My last guitar (6/3/2018) is this Centurion; it's all I can afford at this time.

Well I guess the good news if they don’t sell for $25k, they’re only out a few hundred bucks?

Tell me you wear a puffy shirt when you play that bad boy. That would be epic.

Yessir. He gets introduced midway through this video. I enjoyed this 3part video, but Ed is such a mess in this period.

Goes to show that it's not the gear, it's the tunes. Any POS guitar with a good pickup with sound good..

My Frankenstrate blows them away. For about a grand. I’m trying to upload pics.
Site won’t let me.
Files too BIG!!’ :aww:
I have that same problem with a different personal item ... :D

You know what would be even cooler? Buy parts for a guitar that you have dreamed up in your head...and put it all together yourself to your own exacting specs. Now THAT is cool.
